It’s not Halloween without a trip to a pumpkin patch.
Now, I have to tell you, since my hubs and I moved here early this year, I had no idea that there was such a treasure right in our backyard (ok, not literally – but so close!).
Gorgeous displays of pumpkins and gourds, and an array of awesome decorations that made both of us laugh and smile. They also had a little petting zoo. So as the animal lovers we are, we bought many handfuls of food so that we could feed the lambs, donkeys, and llamas. It was so much fun!
When we finally headed out to the patch to make our selection, we realized that the whole town must have come before us to pick their pumpkin. The picture before us looked like a Charlie Brown Pumpkin Patch – bare.
No worries though. We ventured through and found ourselves a treasure – a pumpkin just the right size for us!
It was big and heavy (and dirty), and it was so great that they provided us with a wheelbarrow for an easy trip back! My hubs was in charge of that part of our adventure – check out my big strong lovebug!
Our pumpkin is at home, and awaiting his debut tomorrow night before trick or treat. Check back tomorrow to see how he is carved!
I hope you all have a safe Halloween! Keep it a day of fun pumpkins, yummy candy, and hilarious costumes!
~Keep on Smiling!~
